Takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is seeking a Franchise Compliance Controller to join its KwaZulu-Natal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with strong operational and compliance skills to support, monitor, and grow franchise performance across the region.


Role Overview

The Franchise Compliance Controller is responsible for monitoring franchise operations, ensuring compliance with service standards, and supporting performance improvement at both branch and driver levels. The role involves auditing, training, performance reporting, and operational oversight in line with Takealot’s service and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities of Our Franchise Compliance Controller

  • Monitor and report on franchise and driver performance, compliance, and service levels.

  • Conduct regular audits of franchises and service hubs to assess SOP compliance and operational standards.

  • Train and guide franchise managers and drivers on SOPs, ensuring consistent adherence.

  • Address operational gaps by implementing corrective measures aligned with Head Office strategy.

  • Manage weekly franchise KPI tracking, performance reviews, and reporting.

  • Compile and present weekly reports on driver growth, complaints, and customer satisfaction at branch level.

  • Collaborate with franchise management teams to strengthen performance management and service delivery.

  • Travel across allocated regions and branches as part of weekly operational responsibilities.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a client-facing operational role.

  • Degree or equivalent in process analysis, business, or operations management.

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Proven experience in operational delivery, compliance, and performance management.

  • Previous experience in managing outlets, hubs, or restaurants advantageous.

  • Hospitality, retail, or franchise industry experience beneficial.

  • Training and coaching experience in an operational setting is advantageous.

  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of business systems and processes.
