Nonke Petroleum, a leading fuel transport company based in Verulam, is seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with experience in credit management, reconciliation, and supervising financial processes.

Key Responsibilities For Senior Credit Controller

• Coordinate daily creditors functionality and distribute workloads among team members.

• Resolve supplier queries, engaging at managerial or supervisory levels as required.

• Interface with departments such as the Workshop for outstanding documentation, signatures, and queries.

• Ensure timely daily processing of invoices to achieve faster month-end closures.

• Regularly review Open Orders to ensure validity and follow up on pending items.

• Verify all documents before submission for payment, including tax invoices, credit notes, delivery notes, and purchase orders.

• Open new supplier accounts as needed.

• Capture invoices and credits daily with accuracy.

• Ensure suppliers submit tax invoices, credit notes, and statements promptly.

• Reconcile creditors at month-end and resolve any discrepancies.

• Follow up on unallocated cash book payments and process in the correct accounting period.

• Confirm reliability of goods/service receiving procedures for completeness of invoicing and monthly accruals/provisions.

• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience | Senior Credit Controller

• Minimum: Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or progress toward a finance-related qualification.

• Computer literate with proficiency in Pastel, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar credit control or finance role.
